1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

  • Account Information: During sign-up, we only require your phone number. This is used for:
    • Sending SMS notifications, such as One-Time Passwords (OTPs) to verify your account.
    • Sending promotional messages (with your consent).
    • Allowing delivery drivers to contact you when delivering your order.
    You may optionally add your email address and name later to personalize your account and enhance communication. These details are not required for app usage.
  • Order Information: We collect the delivery address, payment details, and order preferences you provide when placing an order.
  • Communication Information: Any feedback, inquiries, or messages you send to us through the app.

b. Location Information

A correct delivery address is necessary for timely delivery. We use your location to send drivers to your address. If the address is incorrect, it may cause delays, extra charges, or the order being returned to Best Pilau. Turning off location access may limit our ability to deliver to you.

c. Payment Information

  • Mobile Payments: Payments made via mobile money are processed through our aggregator partner, Future Dynamic Innovation Ltd (FDI).
  • Card Payments: Payments made by card are processed securely through Flutterwave. Please note that Best Pilau does not store your payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and deliver your orders.
  • To communicate with you about your orders, account, or support inquiries.
  • To send SMS notifications, such as OTPs and promotional updates (with your consent).
  • To enable delivery drivers to contact you for smooth delivery of your orders.
  • To improve the functionality and user experience of the App.
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraudulent activities.

3. How We Share Your Information

  • Service Providers: Partners such as FDI and Flutterwave for payment processing, and delivery partners for fulfilling orders.
  • Delivery Drivers: Your phone number and delivery address will be shared with delivery drivers to facilitate order fulfillment.
  • Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or business.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new entity.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

  • Access and Correction: Request access to or correction of your personal information.
  • Deletion: You can always delete your data within the Best Pilau App by going to Settings and selecting the Delete Account button. This will permanently erase your account and all associated data.
  • Marketing Preferences: Opt-out of receiving promotional messages.
  • Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a commonly used format.

Terms and Conditions for Best Pilau

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Best Pilau App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the App.

2. Services Provided

  • Browse pilau dishes prepared by Best Pilau’s team.
  • Order pilau for delivery to a specified location.
  • All dishes are prepared by Doxizzle Vending Ltd and do not involve third-party restaurants.

3. Account Registration

To use the App, you may need to create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.

4. Order Process

  • Placing Orders: Orders can be placed via the App. Ensure that the delivery address provided is accurate.
  • Order Confirmation: Upon placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation. This does not guarantee acceptance of your order.
  • Delivery Times: Best Pilau aims to deliver orders within the estimated time. However, delivery times are estimates and may vary due to unforeseen circumstances.

5. Payments

  • Pricing: Prices are listed in the App and are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Payment Methods: Payments can be made via mobile money, credit/debit card, or other payment options available on the App.
  • Refunds: Refunds will only be issued in cases of failed delivery or incorrect orders.

6. Cancellations and Modifications

  • Cancellations: Orders cannot be canceled once they are being prepared or out for delivery.
  • Modifications: Modifications to orders can only be made if they are requested before preparation begins.

7. Delivery Policy

  • Delivery Areas: Best Pilau delivers to specific locations as outlined in the App.
  • Delivery Charges: Delivery fees will be displayed at checkout.
  • Failed Deliveries: If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect details provided by the user, additional charges may apply for re-delivery.

8. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete information when placing orders.
  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Refrain from using the App for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

9. Liability Disclaimer

Best Pilau is not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by factors beyond its control (e.g., weather, traffic).
  • Allergic reactions or adverse effects from consuming the food. Please check ingredients and notify us of any dietary restrictions before placing your order.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, and designs on the App are the property of Doxizzle Vending Ltd. Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited.

11. Termination

Best Pilau reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms and Conditions.

12. Changes to Terms

Best Pilau may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
